Au Revoir, Adieu           Vocabulary is birthed from the necessities of context and, over time, continues to hammer out its place of residence. Semantics paints an undertone for words but also shackles them. Yet, language unfolds its materiality on a two-dimensional canvas, this visibility offering us the opportunity to efface its inherent shades.
          I was reminded of the various expressions for "farewell". Viewed through the lens of semantics, they are distinctly weighted and coloured. However, when examined through graphics, the forms themselves constitute a new context, devoid of any heavy, nuanced, or intricate affection shifts. In contrast, it filled instead with playful, light-hearted meaninglessness.
